Continentale Health Insurance (Continentale Versicherungsverbund a. G., Dortmund) offers its group health insurance under the ConCEPT program in three budget tiers: the entry-level Choose plan, as well as the more comprehensive Choose More and Choose Max plans.

Employers choose an annual health budget ranging from €400 to €1,600, which is currently the highest budget on the market. Choose Max has no sub-limits: all limits on individual benefits are eliminated. A unique feature is the budget bonus —in years when no benefits are claimed, 10% of the budget is saved, up to +50% over five years.

The budget covers outpatient services (including alternative practitioners and naturopathic treatments, preventive care, vaccinations, medications, medical devices, and assistive devices), dental services (professional teeth cleaning, teeth whitening, dental prosthetics), as well as inpatient flat rates (€150 starting on the 5th day, multiple times). Refractive surgery and vision aids are additionally covered under the “Choose” plan, regardless of the budget. In addition, there are comprehensive 24/7 services —an emergency hotline, video medical consultations, a specialist appointment service (including for psychotherapists), mental health services, and care assistance.

Available for companies with 10 or more employees; full benefits during unpaid leave (parental leave, extended sick leave) are optional. The ConCEPT supplementary health insurance plan has been recognized by Focus Money as “Product of the Month” and received an award at the German B2B Awards, among other accolades.
